Brian is an entrepreneur with a focus on social enterprise. He is a co-founder of Jail Education Solutions (JES), a company seeking to reduce recidivism and increase employment opportunities for inmates through tablet technology that enables self-driven education.
He was in his first year at NU Law when he began work on a Social Impact Bond initiative for America’s largest single-site jail in Chicago. This effort, combined with Brian’s previous four years at General Mills in sales and marketing, led to his current venture. Brian has a successful track record of guiding non-profits toward financial independence and helping foundations recognize the importance and merit of investing in for-profit social enterprises.
He married his wife Callie in 2006 and they are the parents of three beautiful girls. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Business from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a JD/MBA from Northwestern/Kellogg School of Management.
