JP Finnell is in the SAP NA Chief Innovation Office for SAP America, Inc. where he works with organizations to simplify how they run to get the most from digital innovation. JP develops programmatic market approaches and platform strategies to generate demand for new business models powered by the SAP Digital Business Framework.
Residing in Philadelphia, JP is an advocate of entrepreneurial and grass roots approaches to economic development and served as an advisor to several technology start-ups and emerging growth companies in the Philadelphia area. He played a founding role in Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic which organized events featuring industry-leading speakers from start-ups, enterprises, universities, and government, and is now part of another fast growing nonprofit – Philly New Technology Meetup. He has published reports on enterprise IT for GigaOM Research and produced a pioneering book on enterprise mobility while a GM at Nokia.
JP was a Fellow for the Coro New York Leadership Center, with a community of more than 2,200 alumni across business, government, schools and non-profits that is shaping the city’s future. He was also a Fellow at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies, where he received an MA from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BS from the Georgetown University. JP continues to be involved at Wharton serving as a speaker at Wharton Technology and Innovation Conference and as a judge for the Wharton Business Plan Competition.
