Nancy Cleveland

Nancy Cleveland is co-founder and a principal of Sustrana. At Sustrana, Nancy guides organizations through development and implementation of strategic sustainability programs tailored to address and support their practical, financial, regulatory business needs and goals. These efforts include education, training, and measurement programs designed to make operations more fiscally, environmentally, and socially responsible. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Nancy also provides LEED administration and consulting services for both existing buildings and new construction.


Prior to founding Sustrana, Nancy served as Senior Vice President and Director of Sustainability for BPG Properties, Ltd., a national real estate investment and development company. Before redirecting her career to sustainability, Nancy was a successful real estate and telecommunications attorney with twenty six years of experience, including management positions as a partner with the Philadelphia-based law firm Saul Ewing LLP.

Nancy is currently an adjunct professor for the Masters in Sustainable Design program at Philadelphia University. She serves as Secretary of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council Metro Advocacy and Outreach Committee and is a member of many other organizations, including CREW Philadelphia and the Forum of Executive Women.
